We at Amherst Animal Hospital recognize and respect the value of the human/animal bond. With this thought in mind, we strive to provide excellence in veterinary medicine. We have been serving our community for almost fifty years. Whether it is for veterinary services, boarding, or grooming we are equipped to serve any pet, including exotics and pocket pets. We have a wide range of in house diagnostic capabilities, including a fully equipped laboratory, ultrasonography, radiology, (including digital dental radiology), and endoscopy. This enables us to treat the most complex medical or trauma conditions without delay.

Our surgery department offers a complete range of healthy pet procedures, as well as more specialized surgery such as orthopedics.

However, if your pet requires the care of a board-certified specialist, we have access to specialists in: Dermatology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Radiology, Oncology and Ophthalmology.

You will find at Amherst Animal Hospital we have all the services necessary for diagnosing and treating your pet in the most appropriate and cost-effective way possible. We make every effort to maintain the cost of pet care without sacrificing quality or service. We offer multiple pet and senior citizen discounts and accept all major credit cards. We also offer the services of Care Credit, a company that specializes in providing credit for the veterinary field. Once you are approved Care Credit offers several low or no interest monthly payment plans.  

Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

We are closed Sundays and the following holidays: New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas!
